Harold Snowdon Fitzgerald was one three sons of Shipbuilder, Durham Walker, and his wife Mary Agnes Fitzgerald (nee Foreman), who attended the High School and who served in WW1 - the other two being Durham Walker Fitzgerald and Arthur Foreman Fitzgerald .

Harold joined the High School in 1890 at the age of 7, and left in 1897 at 13 to go to Clifton College, in Bristol. However, by 1901, at the age of 17 he was attending Durham School.

It is not clear what he did after that, but when the war came he served with the Northumberland Fusiliers, later attached to the Nigerian regiment.

After the war, Harold was living in New South Wales and, in 1934 he married Violet Stella Spark. She died in 1947, and Harold died on 10-Aug-1952.
