Andrew Wait's father, John Wait, was Secretary of the Dry Docks Company, and his mother was Sottish-born Barbara. Andrew attended the High School from age 13, in 1901, leaving in 1903 to join Lloyds Bank, where he became a clerk. He enlisted with the Royal Marine Light Infantry on 29-May-1915, where he served with submarines as a Sergeant. Although injured, he survived the war, but nothing else is known about him. |
